The piano masterclasses are aimed at everyone who has decided to spend their life with the piano. This doesn’t necessarily mean pursuing a professional career, but rather the decision to play an instrument outside of one’s profession.
Everyday life does not always allow regular time and space for the piano. This is where the masterclasses come into play: continuing a long-standing tradition, participants come together to spend intensive days with the instrument and with people who play piano with the same motivation — for the joy of music!
The courses are primarily intended for adults.
Daily lessons and available practice facilities allow for deepening one’s practice and gaining insight into what has been learned.
During shared meals, group sessions, and excursions, participants engage in meaningful conversations with each other.
The former capital of Croatia enchants with its baroque charm. In addition to the chamber music hall where lessons take place, the facilities are equipped with six practice instruments available for participants to use freely.
Dr. Ana-Marija Markovina, concert pianist and author, is deeply passionate about musical education. Her international masterclasses attract numerous participants each year. In her regularly held masterclasses, Markovina empathetically shares her pedagogical expertise, taking into account the individual personalities of students, their educational background, and their abilities.
The pianist places particular emphasis on general educational foundations. In her teaching, she always incorporates the core ideas of a humanistic educational approach and supports her students along their learning journey. She also shares her many years of teaching experience in lectures, in collaboration with state academies and universities across Germany.
